Trend: Neon Fashion

My blog on Neon is probably a bit late but one I have been meaning to do. It is everywhere! The neon colour trend, when cleverly used, will certainly make a statement and make your outfit pop.  As they are a statement it is important to style them properly. Don't worry though there is a neon outfit for everyone. Here are some ways to do so.

#1. Single Detail:
If like me you are not a girl that is used to wearing strong colours (yes I live in black!!), you can try in neon with a single detail- think nailpolish, statement jewellery or belt.

#2. Double Detail:
If you have a tad more confidence on the neon front you can add neon with neon. Think a neon top, neutral skirt and neon nails or shoes. Accessories such as shoes and bags are a great way to invest in a trend without going the full 9 yards.

#3. Total Neon:
If you have discovered the confidence to go all the way neon....then why not!! A neon outfit is sure to make you stand out from the crowd while staying trendy. A classy dress or skirt and top is the way to go here.

Style Crush: Kourtney Kardashian

Being verrrryyyy short in height, I find it frustrating at times to style myself. Miss Kardashian has proved it is very possible to be petite and still pull of stylish trends. Her outfit choices are huge inspiration to me. She is so gorgeous and definitely my favorite Kardashian.

Men's Shirt Look

The latest trend apart from neon that I have been dying to wear is the "Boyfriend" Shirt trend. I have been looking for a nice shirt for a while and finally decided the only place i was going to find one was in the men's department. I got one in Topman to wear for Sunday drinks with friends. A man's shirt doesn't need many extras. Its is more efortless chic! I paired it with blue denims, nude peep toes and gold jewellery to girly the look up. To make it extra feminine I rolled up the sleeves to show some skin :) My hair was looking unkempt from the plait the night before so I kept it that way. Wanted it to have that casual, laid back all over look. Think I am going to buy it in white and check too, this is going to be my go to casual evening look for the summer.

Topshop: AW12

One of my fave highstreet retailers Topshop has released a sneak peak at their AW12 collection. It features four collections called Pennsylvania, The Factory Girl, The Sensationalist and Scandi Girl. Styles range from tomboy, glam, quirky and denim. Here are some images of what to expect in stores for AW12.

Nicole Richie: Macy's Collection

Nicole Richie has announced that she is set to design a capsule collection for Macy's Impulse capsule collection series. Miss Richie has said that she gathers inspiration for music for all her lines.   The collection is set to be designed solely by the style icon and is set to contain up to 30 pieces. The line will be a representation of her own personal style (that i loooove). Think peacock print, bright colours, chiffon, leather etc. As a major fan of her own collections House of Harlow and Winter Kate, I am dying to see this capsule. The limited edition collection will be launching in mid-September, in 100 stores and for all us Irish gals...ONLINE!!! Yeahhhhh :)

This Weeks Buys

I made a little trip to Dundrum on Tuesday....I behaved and didn't hit the city. I wanted to show you guys my buys. I had a mission to buy a dress for this weekends celebrations. Unfortunately I did not find what I wanted, luckily I have a dress I am borrowing from Daisy designer desirables. So excited to wear it...I will blog about my outfit after the weekend. Here is what I did buy :)

 I am a little obsessed with wearing denim shorts. I do wear them with opaque tights as these are super short. I love these River Island ones, they come in 3 different washes, I have 2 out of 3. My excuse...I will wear them to death! The belt is from Urban Outfitters and I nearly died when I saw it....it is so Moschino. I will be pairing these shorts and belt with a basic black top,tights and wedges for an easy wear, everyday outfit!

My next bag of shopping is from Zara. I have been looking for a nice clutch for a while. I wanted something nude so I could pair it with any outfit. I found this beautiful envelope clutch in nude leather with gold studs....I love it! I intend on using it as day and night and best of all it is big enough for all my stuff. I also bought this blouse which is super cute and on trend. Check out the studded v detail on the collar and owl print. What I love about Zara is the quality of their clothing. Even though this blouse is sheer, it has a high quality fabric making it easy to wear without showing too much. 

 I picked up a lot of bits in Bershka and hit the dressing room only to be left disappointed with the size/fit of a lot of the stuff I had. I did however buy two great pieces in the end. I loved this Zipper Skirt for €15....bargain! I bought it in black but it comes in a variation of colours. As a single gal I had a good giggle at this tank :) I love a good slogan t, you can pop it on with denims or leggings and you are set to go...statement and all! 

My last bag contains some Topshop treats. I bought this dress which is really casual and one I think I will get a lot of wear out of. It can be layered up, worn with tights, with a belt etc. Last but no means least are my bea-u-ti-ful shoes. I normally don't buy slingbacks but I fell for these. I plan on wearing them this weekend with my dress...let's just hope they are not KILLER heels!!!
