Pretty Pastels <3

Pretty pastels are a major SS12 trend, who doesn't love sugary pastel shades. The candy shop trend is all over the high street at the moment, with girly dresses to pastel skinnys. Even if your not a girly girl you can toughen this look up with a leather jacket. Ok so the weather may not always be spring like but you can add some colour to your day with pastels :) Pastels consist of lighter shades of blue, pink, purple, yellow and green. You can purchase a single piece and build the rest of your outfit in neutral tones. I have put together a list of candy pieces below, enjoy!

This Weeks Buys

I made a little trip to Dundrum on Tuesday....I behaved and didn't hit the city. I wanted to show you guys my buys. I had a mission to buy a dress for this weekends celebrations. Unfortunately I did not find what I wanted, luckily I have a dress I am borrowing from Daisy designer desirables. So excited to wear it...I will blog about my outfit after the weekend. Here is what I did buy :)

I am a little obsessed with wearing denim shorts. I do wear them with opaque tights as these are super short. I love these River Island ones, they come in 3 different washes, I have 2 out of 3. My excuse...I will wear them to death! The belt is from Urban Outfitters and I nearly died when I saw it....it is so Moschino. I will be pairing these shorts and belt with a basic black top, tights and wedges for an easy wear, everyday outfit!

My next bag of shopping is from Zara. I have been looking for a nice clutch for a while. I wanted something nude so I could pair it with any outfit. I found this beautiful envelope clutch in nude leather with gold studs....I love it! I intend on using it as day and night and best of all it is big enough for all my stuff. I also bought this blouse which is super cute and on trend. Check out the studded v detail on the collar and owl print. What I love about Zara is the quality of their clothing. Even though this blouse is sheer, it has a high quality fabric making it easy to wear without showing too much.

I picked up a lot of bits in Bershka and hit the dressing room only to be left disappointed with the size/fit of a lot of the stuff I had. I did however buy two great pieces in the end. I loved this Zipper Skirt for €15....bargain! I bought it in black but it comes in a variation of colours. As a single gal I had a good giggle at this tank :) I love a good slogan t, you can pop it on with denims or leggings and you are set to go...statement and all!

My last bag contains some Topshop treats. I bought this dress which is really casual and one I think I will get a lot of wear out of. It can be layered up, worn with tights, with a belt etc. Last but no means least are my bea-u-ti-ful shoes. I normally don't buy slingbacks but I fell for these. I plan on wearing them this weekend with my dress...let's just hope they are not KILLER heels!!!

Asos Picks

I made my Monday trip to ASOS for a look, it is a habit of mine. Most of us have spent hours trawling through this site. I hope I am not the only one who fills up a basket and struggles to log off....MUST NOT BUY MORE CLOTHES!! The great thing about ASOS is they are always on trend....floral, pastels...you name it , they got it. I decided to share some of my picks. I could spend hours on this site and pick loads of things, but I have kept it short and sweet for today, it is Monday after all ;) My list has a variation of items, a cool pink sweat top for chill out days to summery white denims. My fave is the Mango yellow maxi skirt, pair it with a white tank and the super on trend bowler hat....lovage!

*Crystals & Co.*

Crystals & Co. is one of Ireland's most well loved accessory brands. Owned and run by Dublin beauties Emily McKeogh and Leah O'Reilly. They established their own company in one of the worst recessions Ireland has ever seen.C&C has gone from strength to strength, and along with their own website www.crystalsandco.com , they supply retailers in Ireland and London, including my own store Daisy . As another young, female business woman I have huge admiration for their drive and success in building such a huge Irish brand. GIRL POWER :)

The line is full of all things that sparkle....earrings, rings and handbags. The pieces are adorned with swarovski crystals and rhinestones making them bling, bling, bling!! C&C has been spotted on many a famous face such as Whitney Port, Laura Whitmore, Georgia Salpa, Rozanna Purcell, but to name a few.

The variety in colour is huge, they come in an array of luxurious and vibrant colours. I love the fact it gives you that feeling of luxury and sparkle without breaking the bank. You can pop on some bangles and they jazz up any outfit.

I love to stack my thin & thick bangles....my friends and I are nearly always wearing at least one piece from the range on a Saturday night. My current C&C obsession is my gold Shamballa bracelet...love! So if you want something sparkly and beautiful for your jewellery collection, then look no further than Crystals & Co.

WARNING: Bling addiction guaranteed

Fashion Inspiration: The Olsen Twins

Another of my inspirations are the beautiful Olsen twins, Mary-Kate and Ashley. You certainly can not accuse them of dressing like every other young Hollywood star! They have created their own style, going for high-fashion looks with an edgy, hippy look. Their daytime attire may be a tad "homeless chic" from time to time, but I admire their desire to be laid back and edgy. From their hippy unkempt hair, to the piled on gold vintage jewellery...I want it all!!! Their style is their own and one I adore!

Saturday Night: Casual Chic

Saturday night has arrived. Drinks with friends? A date? What to wear? Well I had a quick look in my wardrobe and thought of two very achievable looks. Using the same blazer, a t-shirt, denims/shorts and you have two easy wear outfits.

Everyone has a pair of denims in their wardrobe but I am loving the coloured skinnys at the mo! They are a big statement piece. How about shorts? Not willing to get your pins out tonight, or feeling the chill...pop on a pair of tights (i live in them).  These leather look ones I bought last year in Topshop on a buying trip to London.

There are loads of shorts out at the moment on the hight street. A colour like black is easy to style and wear. My love for t-shirts is clear for all to see...I have loads. Grey and white being my go-to colours. I have this one from Topshop in both the speckled grey and white (i actually have 2 white... shameful). Zara do great basic t's too fyi :)

My gold lovage continues with this envelope clutch bag from ASOS. Big enough for my purse, iPhone and lippy ;) Pop on a necklace or some gold accessories and you are set to impress. Casual, chic and easy to wear!
